Kurt N. Woeller, D.O. is an osteopathic physician who specializes in traditional osteopathic medicine, cranial osteopathy and integrative medicine. His primary focus is treating children with autism-spectrum disorders. He graduated in 1995 from the University of New England, College of Osteopathic Medicine (UNECOM) in Biddeford, Maine. Dr. Woeller began his study of natural medicine in 1992 as a second year medical student. Realizing his training within medical school was severely lacking in the area of nutrition, natural, and integrative medicine he began a pursuit of self-education to learn about the many alternative and complementary therapies available to treat and prevent disease. He has worked as a staff physician at the Southwest Naturopathic Medical Center in Scottsdale, Arizona and as a contributing osteopathic assistant for the Foundation of Osteopathic Research and Training (FORT), a training program dedicated to teaching the principles of traditional osteopathic medicine. Since 1998 Dr. Woeller has been a referral physician for the Defeat Autism Now organization of doctors dedicated to the biomedical assessment and treatment of children with autism-spectrum disorders.
Dr. Woeller is currently the medical director for Stillpoint Center for Integrative Medicine in Murrieta, CA. He is also the Medical Director for an online biomedical resource website called www.AutismActionPlan.org. This site provides up-to-date instruction and educational information regarding biomedical testing, therapies and discussion board for parents and physicians. Dr. Woeller also works as a consulting physician with BioHealth Diagnostics, a renowned functional medicine diagnostic testing and consultation company. He continues to teach other physicians through seminars and individual training regarding the assessment and treatment of patients with chronic illness.
Dr. Woeller is the Autism Outreach Clinical Director for The Great Plains Laboratory outreach clinics. These clinics provide patients access to sophisticated testing and treatment options in underserved areas of the country. These clinics have provided thousands of parents with autism-spectrum children the ability to work with doctors trained by Dr. Woeller in the biomedical approach to autism. In addition, Dr. Woeller serves as a clinical consultant for Great Plains Laboratory teaching doctors the latest in biomedical diagnostic testing and treatment protocols for children with autism-spectrum disorders. He lectures nationwide for Great Plains Laboratory, as well independently regarding the benefits of biomedicine for children with autism.
Dr. Woeller is a member of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). He holds advanced certification in Functional Medicine from BioHealth Diagnostics, and is licensed from the Osteopathic Medical Board of California as an Osteopathic Physician and Surgeon.
Personal Statement
“As a physician dedicated to the principles of natural medicine I recognize within everyone the unique ability of self-healing. Give the body a chance to heal and it can. Provide it with the necessary nutrients and prevent diseases from developing. Foster the human spirit with hope and love and miracles can happen. Too much of medicine has become technological with its “magic bullet” therapies and love affair with synthetic drugs. Of course, some of these approaches have greatly improved our ability to treat serious diseases, save lives, and perform miracles of medicine that were unimaginable 50-100 years ago. No doubt we live in an age of incredible achievement. However, everything has its place, and the many different forms of therapy that exist all have incredible value.
It is important for people to realize that they have the ability to heal, but they also have a personal responsibility in taking care of themselves. No one person or one medicine, whether herbal, homeopathic, nutritional, or pharmaceutical can do it all for them. There are no guarantees. Live a good life. Be kind to yourself and others, eat wholesome and healthy food, exercise and maintain a calm mind and a sense of humor. These recommendations will serve you well.”

Personal Statement
“I became a Naturopathic Physician because I felt that naturopathic medicine provided a more comprehensive approach to health care and natural medicine than any other alternative medical field. I felt that it was important to attend a school that provided an education in the basic medical sciences. With all of the information available to the public through books and the internet, an education in the medical sciences can help one to distinguish between what is valid and sound advice and what is not.
The path to becoming a Naturopathic Physician was a difficult one. There were many hours of intense study as is the case with any medical education. However, I knew that this was the path for me. With all of the challenges, I never wavered in that belief. Good nutrition, exercise, and a healthy lifestyle have always been a part of my life and I have had a strong desire to help others who are searching for ways to improve their health. When I discovered Naturopathic Medicine, I knew that I had found a profession that was perfect for me and my interest in helping others to become well. I love what I do and know that Naturopathic Medicine has much to offer those who are fortunate enough to discover it.”
